As of this writing, the church still could not gather at the worship sanctuary, as the church grounds and surrounding areas were flooded in the last round of heavy rains. For the record, flooding has been a regular problem during the rainy seasons but the unavailability of the sanctuary only happens once or twice a year.
Despite this setback, we are grateful that the Lord has provided the Damar Function Room to serve as our temporary worship hall. The function hall has been the church’s go-to option for several years now. While the Sunday School activities have been suspended due to lack of space, the church still continued in its scheduled prayer meeting.
For those just tuning in, the prayer meeting was moved from its online format on Thursday evenings to the current face-to-face format on the first and fourth Sundays of the month.
