Grace Covenant Evangelical Church will hold a members meeting on October 11, 2026, wherein the church members will ratify the Book of Church Order (BCO).
In the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, the Book of Church Order is the governing constitutional document which outlines the Form of Church Government, the Rules of Church Discipline, and the Handbook of Liturgy. Also known as the Church Constitution, the BCO is the tertiary standard on matters of doctrine, government, discipline, and worship. It is subordinate and subject to the Holy Scriptures, the primary standard, and to the Westminster Confession of Faith, the secondary standard.
Further, and in recognition of congregations who may not have their own BCO or who may have other documents which effectively serve as their constitution, the members affirm that the BCO is not for the being of the church but for the well-being of the church.
We look forward to the ratification of the BCO for the good of the church and its members.
